February 2019

Sun. Feb. 24, 2019, Sourland Semi-Classic, Flemington, NJ. This is a 64-mi ride that explores the Sourland Region of Central New Jersey. There will be a few unpaved roads to go with the famous Sourland climbs and flats. Kermesse Sport

March 2019

Sun. March 24, 2019, Hell of Hunterdon, Blawenburg, NJ. This is a hilly 82-mi Belgian-themed ride in Hunterdon, Mercer and Somerset Counties, NJ. The challenging course features 19 sections of dirt, gravel and hardscrabble roads (covering approximately 15% of the course) with 5,200 ft of climbing. Kermesse Sport

Sat. April 27, 2019, Cumberland Valley TrailFest, Shippensburg, PA. This year the Cumberland Valley Rail-to-Trail Council's Race, Run, Ride & Ramble is joining forces with the Shippensburg Historical Society's 3rd annual BrewFest to create the Cumberland Valley TrailFest.

Sat. April 27, 2019, Fleche Buffoon, New Hope, PA. This is a hilly 75-mi ride entirely on paved roads through Bucks County, PA, and Hunterdon County, NJ, with 14 steep climbs totaling 6,100 ft of elevation gain. Kermesse Sport

May 3-5, 2019, Face of America, Arlington to Gettysburg, 120-mi one-way. Ride with servicemen who have been severely injured in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan

Wed. May 15, 2019, Ride of Silence. Simultaneous, free events at many locations including Doylestown and Philadelphia. Please see the event's website for a complete list of start locations - too many to list here! Join cyclists worldwide in a silent slow-paced ride (max. 12 mph) in honor of those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways. 7:00pm ride start, but come early for the pre-ride dedication ceremony.

Sun. Aug. 25, 2019, Brandywine Tour, Kennett Square, PA. Ride 24, 50, 67, 82 or 100 mi on rolling-to-hilly terrain through the scenic Brandywine Valley and western Chester County. New this year: the “easiest” 50-mi route in years, with long flat stretches. Delaware Valley Bicycle Club.

September 2019

Mon. Sept. 2, 2019 (Labor Day), Donut Derby, Valley Preferred Cycling Center (Trexlertown Velodrome), Breinigsville, PA. This is a 36-mi fun race with a donut zone in the middle. For each donut you consume, you get 3 minutes deducted from your actual ride time, to get your D.A.T. (Donut Adjusted Time). Lehigh Wheelmen Association

Sat. Sept. 7, 2019, Amish Country Bike Tour, Dover, DE. Ride 16, 25, 50, 62 or 100 mi on flat terrain. Mass start at 8:00am with police traffic control through Dover - riders have the right-of-way with no stopping at traffic lights or stop signs for the first 3 miles, or show-and-go start 7:00-10:30am without police traffic control.

Sat. Sept. 7, 2019, Sourland Spectacular, Skillman, NJ. Ride 5, 26, 38, 52 or 65 mi. All routes include climbing, as Sourland Mountain is beautiful, but not flat. Benefits the Sourland Conservancy.

Start on River Road between Manayunk and Conshohocken, with free on-site parking and the Miquon SEPTA station across the street. Sun. Sept. 8, 2019Thompson Cyclosportif, Doylestown, PA. The Cyclosportif is cancelled for 2019! The Thompson Bucks County Classic races and the Doylestown Arts Festival will still be taking place on Sept. 8th.

Wed.-Sun. Oct. 2-6, 2019, Tour de Pines, various start locations in the Pinelands National Reserve, NJ. "Registration for the Tour de Pines has closed. This is the first time we ever closed registration - there will be no day of registration and there is no more online registration. We are at capacity." Five consecutive, but not contiguous, single-day (loop) bicycle tours of the scenic, low-traffic New Jersey Pinelands. Ride 1-5 days for one low registration fee. This unusual event has ride leaders, but no road markings - read the F.A.Q. (PDF). Bring or buy your own food.
