Sat. Aug. 7, 2021, The Nightmare Tour, Reinholds, PA. This is very challenging, scenic ride around the perimeter of Lancaster County and part of Berks County: 111, 177, 200, 225 mi or 24 hrs, with 8,900 to 22,000 ft of climbing. Pre-registration is mandatory.

The Fall Velofest at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center (Trexlertown Velodrome) has been canceled for 2021.

Mon. Sept. 6, 2021 (Labor Day), Donut Derby, Valley Preferred Cycling Center (Trexlertown Velodrome), Breinigsville, PA. This is a 36-mi fun race with a donut zone in the middle. Sat. Sept. 25, 2021, Ride for Trails, Gettysburg Recreation Park, Gettysburg, PA. Ride 13, 27 or 40 mi through the Gettysburg National Military Park, over the picturesque Sachs Covered Bridge and on scenic roads in Adams County. Benefits Healthy Adams Bicycle/Pedestrian, Inc. (HABPI), a non-profit group working to develop walking and bicycling trails in Adams County.

Sat. Sept. 25, 2021, Wit You Ride, Philadelphia to Lancaster, PA. This is a 1-way 100-mi ride. Registration is free with $100 minimum fundraising. Free return transportation is provided. Benefits Crush Childhood Cancer, a 501(c)3 providing support to families who have children battling cancer.

Sun. Sept. 26, 2021, Tour de Scranton, Scranton, PA. Tentative date. Choice of 6 Routes, 7-to-65 mi: ride on-road, or ride off-road on the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail. Benefits the Erin Jessica Moreken Drug & Alcohol Treatment Fund.

Thu.-Sun. Sept. 30 to Oct. 3, 2021, Tour de Pines, various start locations in the Pinelands National Reserve, NJ. Four consecutive, but not contiguous, single-day (loop) bicycle tours of the scenic, low-traffic New Jersey Pinelands. This unusual, no-frills event has ride leaders, cue sheets and GPX files, but no road markings. Bring or buy your own food. Ride 1-4 days, with the leaders, or on your own and follow the cue sheets / GPX files. Benefits the Pinelands Preservation Alliance.

Oct. 9-10, 2021, Face of America, Arlington, VA to Gettysburg, PA, 120-mi one-way. Ride with servicemen who have been severely injured in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Sun. Oct. 10, 2021, Covered Bridges Ride, Tinicum Park, Erwinna, PA. Choice of four routes: the 20-mi flat route uses the unpaved towpath along the Delaware River for part of the ride, or the hilly 33-, 50- and 63-mi routes on paved roads. Sat. Oct. 16, 2021, Dutch Hex Sign Bike Tour, PA German Cultural Heritage Center, Kutztown, PA. This is a 16- or 21-mi unsupported ride (no road markings, no SAG, etc.) to view spectacular hex sign art, and end at Saucony Creek Brewery Kutztown with a beer and Brussels sprouts. A paper route map will be provided at registration or can be downloaded in advance.

Oct. 22-24, 2021, Fall Foliage Weekend, Hanover / Gettysburg, PA. Ride various distances on your own or group rides with leaders. Includes cue sheets, meals, snacks, parties, and hotel accommodations (with indoor pool/whirlpool). Advance registration is required. Bicycle Club of Philadelphia (BCP)

Sat. Oct. 23, 2021, BIKE SONJ: Ride for Inclusion, Skillman, NJ. Ride 15, 30, or 50 mi to raise money and awareness for Special Olympics New Jersey. In addition to the in-person ride, there will also be a virtual option.

Sun. Oct. 24, 2021, Bike4Beds Harvest Ride, Valley Preferred Cycling Center (Trexlertown Velodrome), Breinigsville, PA. Ride 30 mi relatively flat or 62 mi with a climb up Hawk Mountain. Post-ride picnic with chicken wraps, soft drinks, and Hawk Mountain Brewery beer. Fundraising is optional. Benefits orphanages in Haiti and rebuilt schools and hospitals in Africa and Haiti. Rain date Oct. 31, 2021.

Sun. Oct. 31, 2021, Halloween Victory Tour, Victory Brewing Company, Parkesburg, PA. Ride 30 or 50 mi including the Enola Low Grade Trail. The majority of the ride is on the trail. Velo Amis, a nonprofit 501(c)(3).

Sun. Oct. 31, 2021, Oktoberfest Ride, Blueprint Brewing Company, Harleysville, PA. Ride 43 or 59 mi. Post-ride Oktoberfest festivities (food & drink). No road markings; however, cue sheets and GPS files will be provided as well as free access to the RideWithGPS app. Kermesse Sport
